Cerys Horton took my college graduation photos at Temple University this past year. In the time that I observed her skills, I saw the use of professional creativity and dedication to get the perfect shot. Cerys had the idea to take a picture of me in my cap and gown in the middle of Broad street, with city hall in the background. Being a temple student, the location of Philadelphia plays a big role in student life, not just academically, but socially and culturally. This shot fully encapsulated what it meant to be a Temple student. With a single photo, Cerys’ creative vision communicated both the academic, social and cultural aspects that shape Temple graduates. It took a few tries to get the “right” shot, but Cerys was determined to stand in the middle of the street until she was satisfied, and she knew I would be satisfied with the final product.
